Bhonpuram Khabari, Rudrapur : A 35-year old man was found hanging from a tree on Friday in a field in Shimla Pistaur village at Kichha road, around four kilometers from the city. The deceased has been identified as Harichandra, a daily wage laborer. Police sent the body for postmortem.
Police said that a villager who had gone inside the field looking for cattle spotted the body hanging and informed the police. SHO of the city police station, Vikram Rathore said that the man could not be identified earlier. “We found his name tattooed on his hand and conducted an operation to confirm his identity. The nearby villagers identified him as Harichandra and said that he did not have a family and used to live alone. We are trying to know more about him and will wait for three days before we cremate the body”.
